In an ever-increasing sea of new, cookie-cutter, no-talent bands flooding the music industry, a new band has entered the fray with a clear intention of raising the bar for other bands to aspire to. This band is none other than Skull Chock Full of Angry Ants, often referred to simply as Angry Ants by the band members and their loyal followers. Formed in 2004, the members of Angry Ants came together from a variety of backgrounds, but with a single mission to produce a new wave of quality heavy metal music that fans and music lovers of all types could appreciate, a wave that didn't exhibit the same kind of style cloning that so many other bands are guilty of. While most lesser bands copy their musical style from earlier metal bands before them, Angry Ants set off to blaze their own path and, in the process, generated a new sound unique to the metal genre, a sound sure to catch the fancy of all who hear them. Founding members Alistair Slashface, Slyman Puke, and Bob Doberman all came from a solid classical foundation, having each performed with numerous symphonies around the world on a variety of instruments. Having reached the end of what could be accomplished in the classical world with music from the likes of Chopin, Beethoven, Wagner, and Shmelvin, the guys shifted gears and began to tackle a much more challenging task: heavy metal music. With so much time spent with the classics, it was inevitable that some of that classical training would find its way into their current music, and each of their compositions clearly contains aspects of their former musical efforts. Stay tuned for great things from Skull Chock Full of Angry Ants. They are sure to turn the metal industry upside down, and hopefully stir other bands to a new level of greatness.
